1.WHERE WE GO FROM HERE
I wrote this song about the experiences my best friend was going through with ( his then partner) a few years ago. it was a difficult time for him, and I have tried to reflect this in the lyrical content of the song.

2.TIME OF OUR LIVES
Some of this song is from personal experiences...
eg jubilee park is in petts wood, where I grew up.
foxbury is where I first played rugby at the age of nine.My dad playing the guitar and my mum joining in, with 'islands in the stream' being a favorite other aspects of the song are embellished/ made up!!

3. HEAVEN IS CALLING
Fictitious. simply about someone who is coming to the end of their life and has no regrets.

4. TIRED OF LOVING
It s about a friend s relationship ending, but then an overwhelming sense of doubt in their mind as to whether it was the right thing to do.

5. LET IT ALL GO
I wrote this song about a person who is very bitter about life and who feels life owes them something and is very jealous of the successes of others.

6. LOST IN YOU AND ME
This is loosely based on the end of a friends long term relationship and perhaps it s speculating on the separation owing to two driven people getting lost in their own individual lives, and then this this in turn was a contributory factor in them drifting apart.

7. SWEET CARIAD
This song is theoretically retrospective, although the first verse is pretty much autobiographical. I also wanted to use some welsh words in the song. CARIAD- love, GWRAIG-wife, NOSDA-goodnight, just about exhausted my knowledge of the welsh vocabulary!!

8. EASY
On the whole this is fictitious. I wanted to write a song about making mistakes and having regrets through life but at the same time recognising that these are an integral part of growing up.

I received a guitar for my 21 st birthday from my parents- and within a year I started penning my own songs and playing them to friends and family.

Over the past ten years I have amassed a reasonable collection.

After a shoulder injury caused me to be out of action from rugby for several months, my wife,Siwan, bought me some time to record at Cotyso Studios in Manchester; where I was able to record 16 of my own tracks with the guidance of Stuart and Carl, which I really enjoyed doing.

We decided to keep the music organic giving it some nostaligic feel allowing the songs to tell their stories, even though at times we was tempted to sit and make them musically perfect we to stuck with the real instruments and live feel. (stuart complained about my creaking chair in the end we left that in also!)

We added more instrumentation and harmonies as well as in some cases transposing the tracks to piano only. We have tried to keep the songs simple and relaxed.
